How to Access and Download eBooks from Google Books Library

Love to read books? Google Books library has a lot for you. It includes many popular books, and many of them are free to download. Once you purchase a book from Google Play, it will be added to your Google Books library, from where you can download them on any of your device. Here is how to access and download eBooks from Google Books Library.

Accessing and downloading Google eBooks on desktop

To get the books Google Books library, you’ll need to go to its website using any of your favorite desktop browsers. In order to view Google eBooks, you have to sign in on Google Play with a Google account. So, before going ahead, make sure you’ve one. Keep your Google account’s details ready and go ahead with the below instructions.

1. Open a browser and go to ‘play.google.com/books.’ This link loads the Google Books library and opens it directly on your screen.
2. If you see the sign-in form instead of books, you’ll have to enter your Google account’s details and then proceed.
3. If you haven’t purchased a book from Google Play store previously, then you need to get some to download and read on your device.
4. Find a book you want to purchase or enter the title of a book into the search box.
5. Select the book you’re interested in to purchase.
6. Click on the ‘Free’ or ‘Price’ button on the books info page to get the book.
7. You may be asked to confirm that you want to purchase the book, confirm your purchase, and enter your password if needed.
8. Enter the payment information, if asked to do so.
9. Once you purchase a book, it will be added to your Google Books Library. You can now download them on your device to enjoy reading them.
10. Click on the ‘My Books’ option at the upper left side of the Google Books page.
11. Click on the ‘More’ symbol of the book you want to download to your device. Doing so opens a small menu with several options, including removing and downloading.
12. Select ‘Download PDF’ or ‘Download EPUB’ to download the book.
13. Select a destination folder to keep your book.

Your selected book will start downloading to your selected destination folder. Either you’ve chosen ‘Download PDF’ or ‘Download EPUB,’ your eBook will download in the ACSM format only. However, after downloading, you can convert the book into PDF or any other format you want to read it.
