How To Find Downloaded Files On My Phone

Sometimes you may need your downloaded files on the phone urgently. It can be a photo, a video or a mail attachment, etc. In this blog we will explore the options for finding downloaded files on phones.
Remember! The steps mentioned in this blog are applicable not just for Android Nougat, Oreo, Pie but also for iOS 11 and 12 users.
Prefer opening downloads from Android messages
  1. Firstly, go to the file manager.
  2. Then, press on Internal storage.
  3. After that, click on Pictures.
  4. Next, click on Messages.
  5. Note that every downloaded photo, video and voice clips shall be in the folder of Messages.
  6. Remember! The pictures or videos that have been downloaded by Instagram and Facebook Messenger application shall be available in the folder of Pictures.
The downloads for Samsung messages
  1. Firstly, go to My files application.
  2. After that, click on Internal storage.
  3. Next, click on Download.
  4. Lastly, note that every attachment downloaded by Samsung Messages shall be available in the Download directory.
Download folder of WhatsApp
  1. Firstly, go to file manager.
  2. Then, click on the Internal storage.
  3. After that, press on WhatsApp.
  4. Next, click on Media.
  5. Lastly, note that your every file and attachment shall be saved in their folders in the WhatsApp’s Media directory.
Download folder of Google Chrome
  1. Firstly, do a long press on the link or file that you want to download till more options get displayed on the screen.
  2. Then, press on Download link.
  3. After that, go to the file manager.
  4. Next, visit Internal storage.
  5. Then, click on Download.
  6. Lastly, note that every file and attachment shall get downloaded at the time using Chrome in the folder of Downloads.
The downloads for Gmail
  1. Firstly, open the mail that has the attachment.
  2. Then, click on the symbol of download. It shall be immediately after the symbol of Drive.
  3. After that, go to the file manager.
  4. Next, click on the Internal storage.
  5. Then, press on Download.
  6. Lastly, check that every attachment that has been downloaded from Gmail shall be present in the folder of Download.
The downloads in Safari on iPhone
  1. Firstly, open Safari.
  2. After that, click on the link of download.
  3. Then, press on the symbol of download.
  4. Next, click on Save to Files.
  5. After that, make sure that ‘Save to Files’ is turned on.
  6. Then, click on Done.
  7. Next, click On My iPhone.
